RSA Website Services was originally founded as Retail Systems Associates (RSA), (Ohio registration number 1003433) in 1998 by Anne Mulhollan and her husband Harry (Hank) Mulhollan. Anne is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has been in the IT field since the 1970s. Hank also has an extensive software design and implementation background and has been in the IT field since 1966. The original purpose of the business was to provide custom software programming and application support for retail-store back-office software (inventory, accounting, etc.). RSA’s main clients were small store chains. Upon winning a substantial software contract in 2004 from what became RSA’s primary client; the business was incorporated (Ohio charter number 1440004) with Anne Mulhollan as president. At that time Mike Bretz and Diane Pellow were added to the regular staff. Both Mike & Diane have 20+ years of IT related experience each; Mike as a programmer and analyst and Diane as customer support and documentation specialist. RSA’s web-related software experience started about 2000 when Retail Systems Associates began doing web-related work that was designed to complement the existing back-office software business. However, RSA’s real commitment to website related programming came in 2004 when RSA developed plans to create a retail software support system that would encompass everything from on-line stores to back-office support. RSA began investing in software and technical education accordingly. The plan was to have this program ready in time for 2007. Until then RSA expected the back-office software business to continue to be the backbone of the business. RSA was forced to reassess this strategy in early 2005 when RSA’s primary client was unexpectedly acquired and liquidated soon after the 2004 Christmas selling season. It was at that time that Retail Systems Associates made the decision to focus on the website design and management part of the business and RSA Website Services (Ohio registration number 1616581) came into being. Today RSA Website Services is dedicated to providing personalized service and a comprehensive, affordable collection of website design and management services to small businesses. For many retailers and other small businesses RSA “does it all”. This allows the business owner to focus on what he does best … manage the business. In every case, RSA tailors its service package to fit the budget, support needs and technical skills of the individual client. |
